Workshop Goal: To increase participants' effectiveness by:
- Providing participants with a robust framework for understanding and assessing relevant cultural differences within a multi-cultural organization.
- Increasing participants' skills for identifying the impact of organizational culture on productivity and the bottom-line business results.
- Impact of human cultural norms on business within organizations
- Impact of organizational cultural norms on humans within organizations
- Practicing the use of "models" which assist in unearthing cultural assumptions in a business context in order to develop effective strategies and make good decisions.
Description: A four-hour workshop for managers and individual contributors.
The workshop provides participants with an overview of culture as a part of the context in which business is transacted. Participants use various models and definitions to better understand the impact of cultural norms within organizations. Workshop includes both theory and a focus on applying the theory to understanding the organizational environment in order to be more effective as a leader and as a team member in a multi-cultural environment. This workshop is particularly useful for those involved in work that spans a wide geographic region, involves multiple virtual team members, and/or includes international business markets or partners.
